Meet Jeannie marie
Jeannie Marie is a strategist for an international organization that recruits, trains, and sends ordinary people to live overseas in places of pain, poverty, and people with no access to Jesus Christ.
She is also the author of Across the Street and Around the World: Following Jesus to the Nations in Your Neighborhood...and Beyond, just published by Thomas Nelson on October 2, 2018.
She is on the board of directors for two non-profits, Pathways to Global Understanding, a training course—and Global Adventure Project, a group that places university students in strategic overseas internships. She also just joined the instructor team for Perspectives, a life-changing course that will flip your worldview right-side up. Jeanne loves to speak on how to create relational bridges with people from other cultures and faiths, and help people and churches find their global role, and missional strategy.
Jeannie grew up as an expat, third-culture kid, in the Philippines until she came to the United States for a degree in Communications at Trinity International University. Jeannie and her husband and four children now live in the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona. But they also spent time living and working around the world in India as a family. She also knows what it's like to find your global role starting right where you live, as she worked across the street in America with international students, refugees, with community development non-profits, and at a church mobilizing others to go to the nations. She hopes to inspire others to live an extraordinary life following Jesus into other cultures with courage, compassion, confidence and spiritual intentionality.
